Alternator problems...

Hi,

Seems my alternator is on it's way out - anyone know of a good source?... even better would be an uprated one if anybody has seen one?

If you can find a lucas dealer and get them to fit it they'll give you all sorts of discount. my dad's been there with his van a few times and they've been brilliant.

got it sorted now - found a local place to recon mine, should get it back tomorrow

Can anyone explain this?

Got my Alternator back after being recon, initially the battery light did not go off, then after some time checking connections and so on - the light went off, don't think it was because of anything I did. I drove it for the rest of the afternoon stopping and starting at various times with no problem. Then the following morning the light came on and now will not go off - whats going on?

Check the alternator.

I've had reconditioned ones go bad within hours installing them. Happends all the time.
