Hello. Am i a nut to think of this?????

Is it even possible to change the 4 speed automatic trans from a "93 4wd with the 4.0 V6 to a manual trans? I have no clue if its even possible, or how hard.

i dont see how you are crazy since some came from the factry stock with a manual shift ??

It shouldnt be too hard....

Just to clarify a little:

Are you talking transmission or transaxle?

I don't think it wold really be that complicated, but it would be very time consuming. As you will have to change your pedals, add in the slave cylinder and master cylinder for the clutch, along with (possibly) cutting a hole in your floorboard for the manual shifter.
Hell, I dunno... maybe that would be complicated... never done it before, so I dunno.
I just know that's a few things I know of off hand. Also, you'd prolly need a new ECM to support the manual tranny instead of one that looks for an auto tranny.

sure. you americans are great engineers im sure you could do it. the only experience i have had is the other way around and that dosnt work the auto trans is a lot wider so the space isnt big enough. i would say go for it.
