After the MFT upgrade my am radio no longer works. The static is out of control. It used to work just fine. Thoughts?

No problem with am but after update everything was slow. Had problems with phone connecting calls. Downloaded the reboot app. and rebooted MFT. Alls well for over three weeks.

Scroll down to MTF acting up?

Hope this helps.

Strangely enough, did you try something as simple as a fuse 29 pull? Also try pulling the fuse (which is seperate) for the radio itself - not sure which fuse it is, but perhaps something is mucked up with that.

Otherwise, you could check the antenna to see if something is loose, but I wouldn't dig too deep and I would let the dealer handle it.

Reboot App, bug number request.

I sorted by Subject, but could not find this one. Could you post the bug #. I'd like to have the reboot app handy in case I need it.

Thanks.

It's not a reported bug. It's a button on the home page.

MFT acting up?

Whenever MyFord Touch™ starts acting up, your best bet is to reboot the system before the problems get worse. The easiest way to do this is with the delayed reboot app.

There it is, right in front of me. Thanks.

Not saying there's a pattern here, but here's a short story of my experience with my new Explorer ...after I took delivery last week I noticed that the HD and AM reception was terrible. Satellite radio was excellent. I finally realized maybe a look at the antenna was warranted. Well, there you go no stinger. I stopped by and showed the salesman that the plastic plug was still covering the attachment threads. It was immediately addressed and reception is now what I expect.

Just saying, the technology gizmos on the vehicle must have so overwhelmed me that I missed that the obvious on my inspection, the missing stinger.
