Received my Amsoil Filter from Aldive last week to replace the one that came with my Volant 19640 sohc kit.

It was wider than the Volant filter and fit the box like a glove.

The most important thing I learned that I did not know was that oiled gauze filters trap no where near as much dirt as conventional paper filters.

The Amsoil filter is the best of both worlds- actually better because it outflows oiled gauze and the cellulose fiber traps more dirt than paper.

Workmanship is first quality as well. AAA+ Highly recommended.

saw they are pretty pricey...what did you pay?

I was going to get one but ended up getting a Rezton stainless steel

Yeah, they're kinda pricey, but guaranteed for 4 years. However, there's no reason they can't go longer. As long as it is in good condition, you can blow it off and keep going. I think I paid $26 or so for my conical (dealer cost). I could look it up, but I'm too lazy right now after just replacing my EGR.

Good stuff. I like mine too. :D
