another ABS question

to make a long story short.. i noticed my cruise was actin kinda funny last night, and my abs light was on.. then started flashing when id use my brakes. if memory serves me right the front abs sensors are just speed sensors on the axles? could this be causing both problems? any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If it were me, I would have the ABS codes(s) read.

i planned on doin that today, but its raining and i forget how to do the little wire trick to get the light to blink again. so ill hafta wait. thanks though
