no its not, as long as there is a cat you should be fine, i havent gotten in any trouble yet and i live in one of he worst states, VA, where you get pulled over for having something hanging from the rear view mirror, or having any stickers other than an inspection and a county/city sticker on your windshield
you don't need a muffler here, but you r truck has to b under a certan amount of decibles. mine is close im not sher what side its on now. but it sounds better with a muffler i hope.

i have the 4.0 SOHC right now i got duel exhuast with the mellowtone muffler and really not likein the way it sounds, i figured its a V6 so no use buyin another muffler if im not gonna get a huge change in sound, so ur sayin with duel exhaust the 40 series will make it sound a lot better? also im thinkin about gettin a highflow cat soon for a little more juice
what do u recommend i do to get the best sound, i have been sittin on the mellowtone for nearly a year now i need somethin better, not only piping but i like the deep aggressive but still loud tone, would i get this more from thee original or super
