crank up your idle speed and it will smooth out when AC and headlights is on. You IAC might be bad. Idle should pick up when you add a load such as AC

Make sure you also buy a high quality gasoline with 87 octane (gasoline with fuel additives that remove water and deposits) I personally like BP gasoline. Before I was using Race trac gasoline (a division of shell Canada) and contained a lot of water in it (no additives), and they probably use the full 10% ethanol blend The owners manual for a 95 explorer , I believe asks for gas with no more than 2% blend-if you have to use it. Lets face it-the most probable cause for most peoples rough idle issues are from too much ethanol!
