On the module mounted on the lower dash, not the module buried up under the dash.

What is the small hole on top for, its right next to to LED? It looks like a port to plug something into.
Thx

Okay, so I am a dumb $H!^.

I found out the hole is for the activation plug. I still do not know all about how it works, trying to get a manual or something.

Since it is tied in with the ignition system of the vehicle.
Is the Jack type plug unit specific (ie micro chipped), or is it just a simple universal male plug used for activation of the system?

The dealer did not give me any type of plug when I bought the X :(

Sorry for the stupid questions but I've never had an alarm system before.

If it is what I think it is..

Its a small ignition kill system from clifford.

It looks like you can plug in a 1/8" stereo headphone jack into it.. (or course that won't work).

You put the plug in/out of the hole, then you have 30 seconds (I think 30) to start the car.

When it is flashing, you can't start the car, when the led is out or solid you can start it.

When solid, it is in valet mode.. meaning you don't have to give your fob to the valet for them to start the car. To put it in valet mode, put the fob in/out 3 times.

BTW.. it isn't that hard to bypass... You just have to find where they spliced into the wires, and hook the wires back up.
