Another way do diasble the auto feature (i think)

i was thinking and would you be able to disable the auto feature by hooking the both speed sensors up to the rear axle ur tap the wires in the rear with the wires in the front. this would tell the gem that the wheels are not slipping and would not send power to the front wheels and you would still retain 4x4high and low

Couple of possible problems with that thought.

1. By wiring the sensors together, you will change the impedance of the circuit. It's possible that that could cause electrical problems.

2. Even when the wheels aren't slipping, the GEM is still sending power to the front wheels, so you still wouldn't have true 2WD.

Good idea, but I still think the "brown wire" modification is easier and more effective.

Is there a way to make the 4 auto on the 95 mod (the one w/ 2wd and 4 auto) into real 4wd?
