Any ideas what year?

This is setting in a parking lot of a small auto repair shop.
Seems to be of WW2 vintage tin? Any body have a clue to what year and what it was called. Like ammo carrier. Or is it just an Army pick up truck.
Like to know something about it before asking the shop owner.

What kind of axles did this thing have? My guess the body is Willys.

Definitely looks mid 40s 45-47, but hard to tell with all the damage..

I'm sure that shop owner knows a lot more about it than anyone, or knows who someone who knows the most about it.

What makes you sure it's Army?

It has military lettering on the side below and to the left of the door mounted mirror. Should have taken pic of it. As far as what branch service I'm not sure.

I will go ask him the owner when I take my car their for it's inspection.
