Any junkyard performance bolt ons

ill be headed to the junkyard tomorrow where there is an abundance of mustangs and other ford cars. I have the 4.6l that ticks a bit. If I'm going to dive in to taking heads off to inspect I thought I would see if there as anything good to look for performance wise on other 4.6l? I know electric fan out of a tauraus I believe is one but wasn't sure if there was anything else to keep an eye out for.

Nothing really stock that will help you. The mustang 4.6 is almost identical to what you have, but since that is true the aftermarket is filled with upgrade engine parts for "cheap." Unless you can find some aftermarket parts already on a mustang there. You could always swap to 4v heads if you find an aviator. Might as well take the spindle assemblies too if you do find one, bigger brakes are better. Only other thing I can think of would be another explorer with 3.73 diffs if you don't have them.

Appreciate the info but no aviator and already have the d4. Are there not other cars like Mach 1 and cobra to keep an eye out for. I know they have an 04 mustang but I think it's just the gt. After I pull what I need I'll look around I do know there is aftermarket parts. One ex had brand knew front hubs but didn't see any markings so I passed.

Yea, Mach 1 and cobra stuff is good, but there are so many parts needed from an aviator to make it work it's not really worth it, in my opinion.
