I contacted Eibach and they have a kit but it is on the backburner because they are having problems with the IRS making noise.

This truck was in Truckin Magazine. 07 Sport Trac (same independant suspension) lowered with airbags. Done by CGS Motorsports in Pomona, CA.

Hey Andy in Fla

Do you have any pics? Is your ST independant rear suspension or solid axle? Have been looking for something for my Explorer.

My ST is lowered.

Care to elaborate as to how you did it?

I've spoken with a bunch of aftermarket manufacturers since over the past couple of years. Last I spoke with Eibach, they said it wasn't going to happen (this was a couple of months ago). Ground Force said the same, as did Belltech, though they listed an incorrect # in their 2007 catalog. Sprint's given a couple of different answers - Yes, we have it; no, we don't - and they didn't seem like they knew the difference between the gen 3 and gen 4, so I didn't pursue it. I did find an outfit in the midwest that would make springs based on the original spring code (for rate) and the amount of drop spec'd, but they were close to $500, more than I cared to spend.

I'd really like to lower mine a bit. Then, it'd be just about perfect ;)

i see u live in cupertino. I am in the bay area visiting. I am visiting my parents and friends and my gf. I was near cupertino on turkey day I was at my gf aunts house she lives in sunnyvale.

Anyways u got pics of ur 06 xlt cause when i was heading over to my gf aunts house i saw an 06 xlt and it had an exhaust on it and had rims on it so i was wondering if it was u or not.

I saw it by the de anza college exit. I was with my gf when i saw it.

It's an '07 IRS.

Here are a couple pics next to a stock height Adrenalin.

The red truck is actually slightly downhill if it helps.

I did it with a drop kit from a company that's not a sponsor on here.

I like the front end of the adrenaline. Can they be easily purchased somewhere? I'm really interested in the front bumpers, black headlamps and the fender with vents.

Can anyone direct me as to where i can get those? TIA

EDIT: Can the adrenaline bumpers and fenders be used on the 07 Explorer EB?

Good luck finding the bumpers and fenders let me know if you do other than the dealer, I'm interested......the head lamps are the same as on the ironman ex which you can find here http://www.trademotion.com/partloca...orer&year=2007&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0 or on ebay a little cheaper, you can also get the black ironman grill here as well....the 20" adrenaline rims can be found here http://www.detroitwheelandtire.com/products/search/28633/?make=149&year=2008&model=&page=7 and they'll fit any st or ex 02 and up.....Hope this helps.

Edit: or save youself the money on the headlamps and do what I did see my pic here: http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i319/itallian1488/P1010171.jpg

Thanks italian for the suggestions. One question though i have seen the link for the wheels are those Ford SVT rims and other OEM or replicas only? Just wanted to make sure though.

Thanks

Your welcome.
According to what I've found out about that site they carry oem ford rims, no replicas. Those rims look awesome on the ex.....by the way.

Mine is lowered 1.5"
I used the same company as AndyInFlorida.

Where did u buy lowering kit? What kind of wheels are they and wheel specifications, size?
I like how ur ride looks.

These guys have custom, one off lowering springs. Andy made like 4 or 5 sets. There is another guy with a 2010 STA, Roush supercharged, with a custom set of springs made by someone else. He won't disclose his contact for some reason... Kind of annoying. I hate it when people do that.

Any contact info on the custom springs Andy made? I know I am interested and what at least 4-5 other. Maybe batch #2 is in order?

I've emailed him at least a dozen times over the last year asking him about the springs. So far, no reply. I have his phone number and email but I wouldn't feel right giving that out without his permission.

Time to consider having an experienced shop cutting the springs (for those that really want to lower Explorer as custom street rig). Yes it will increase the spring rate, but no it does not destroy the spring. Yes it's been done before, I've even seen AMG giving cars with cut springs to automotive magazines for preview/test drive purposes.

Correction: company is located in Chino, CA, not Pomona.
