Western Mass and NH!

Hey guys, I'm representing Lenox, Ma, right near the NY state border. I'd be up for some off-roading or whatever once I lift my X a bit, I'm in the middl eof deciding what to do right now. I am also in Durham, NH at UNH during the school year, so if anyone is up around there, let me know! I'll have my mods done by October of 2003... :D

Plus, any fellow X'ers are welcome to come down to UNH, it's a fun place, believe me...:chug:

I'm Sandy from Central Connecticut and my '92 Sport hasn't any modifications except for the stereo that I had installed. Apparently the person who owned it before me had a great stereo in it and wanted to put it in their new vehicle, because when my brother bought it for me, it had no stereo. And anyone who knows me knows I don't go driving without any music to listen to. The stereo that is in my X is capable of playing MP3 files.

I don't plan on doing any major modifications because it's expensive, and I'm raising two kids alone, since both of the girls fathers are deceased. My brother shares my apartment with me and has for 20 years. He is great with my girls and the sweetest guy you'll ever meet.

How many brothers would go out and buy their sister a vehicle of her own to drive, not many I'm sure. He knew I needed transportation and he took care of the problem for me. I didn't, however think he would buy an Explorer for me though. I guess he knew I fell in love with his 1991 XLT which was a sweet ride and had some very cool modifications. Unfortunately, 4 days after he registered it, on his way to work, someone ran a stop sign and plowed him on the driver's side. When he came home from work and I saw the damage done to it I cried.

The damage was so extensive that the insurance company considered that the Explorer was a total loss. Those cool modifications helped in uping the settlement he got for his totalled Explorer. And he was able to buy 2 Explorers with the settlement check, plus put great stereos in both of them. :D

im from south eastern connecticut, the griswold/jewett city area if you're familiar. 1995 xlt 4wd, kkm/MAF/throttle body, headers 2 3/4" catback, APTEN, pretty decent system. it treats me well. needless to say, i wont be wheeling any time soon.

Hi, I'm Luis and although being an Argentinian citizen, I was twice in Connecticut and am sure that I lived some of the best moments of my life there. Home was in Farmington, I was studying at University of New Haven and playing rugby for the Hartford Wanderers.

I have an Explorer down here and when I was living in the USA a relative rented a car for himself and I borrowed his X from him to use it as my daily driver, so I felt like at home in every way.

Well, that's it guys. May be if I'm back to CT someday we could meet. By now, warmest regards to everyone here. Site rocks.

Luis

Not many! I put an upgraded sound system in my sister's Toyota, and help her with oil changes and whatnot - your brother sounds like a champ.

Too bad about the first X that was totaled, at least the insurance decision came out ok. There are many people who have been royally ripped off when their modded trucks get wrecked.

Are you going to be going back to school like you planned?

Hey Gary, wish me luck. If everything goes right, I'll be starting school at New England Technical Institute on the 15th of September. I'm going to the admissions office the beginning of next week, I've already filed my financial aid forms online, they should get them by the time I meet with them

I am going to be a really busy person over the next year, since the course is a one year program. I will be attending classes Monday - Thursday from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM even through the summer.

That's in Warwick, RI, isn't it? I almost went to that school, but opted for Massachusetts Communications College in Boston (now New England Institute of Art and Communications in Brookline  ) because it was closer, easier to commute to via commuter rail, and it had more specialized training. What will your major be?

Gary, which region of Vermont will you be visiting? It's a small state, but only from a distance. You should know now that once you get in, it takes 4 or 5 hours to go from corner to corner! Let us know in advance if you can of when and where you're coming. :) Since Matt and I are the only full-time Vermonters here, it's kinda hard to meet up with other members.

OK, cool. I gotcha. what do plan to major in?

I'm going to major in computer programming and website design :)

Nice! Then you can tell these guys how to do their jobs! ;)

I'm from CT, but right now i'm going to school in boston, and i don't have my X :(
