Any more new englanders here?

Why wait?? Mine isn't lifted at all. I'm still running stock size all-terrains on a 4-door, and recently went wheeling with Nick26. Nick has 2" TT/shackle lift (which you can't do, sorry :p) and 32" mud-terrains. He also has a 5-speed, swaybar disconnects, and has removed his running boards. The reason I'm telling you about his rig is he gave it a beating, even a couple of tiny dents from going between a tall rock in the ground and a small tree. My truck only has bilstein shocks, but still went everyplace his did without any problems...or dents! ;) (Of course dents build character anyways!)

The moral to all this drivel is you don't necessarily need any lift to enjoy the trails. Just know when to back out. C'mon up to VT before I do MY lifting and I'll show ya how it's done! :chug:

sounds good! i changed my mind with the lift since ill be selling the truck next summer, time for a change, but i am still thinking about getting bigger tires

Hey I am going to school at UNH in durham, NH. I don't live more than 30 min. from campus so I do have my Ex. cause I am commuting. If any of you guys are in the area let me know!

yikes...commuting in your Explorer everyday can get grueling if you don't boost your fuel economy somehow! I installed a switch to turn off Control-Trac and that alone saves me about 2-3 mpg right off the bat. When I changed my O2 sensors that was another 3-4 improvement.

Just dropping everyone a note to introduce myself and say hi. My name is John and I am the original owner of a '93 xlt 4x4. This vehicle currently has 120K, and I'm going to keep it going for another 10yrs. I do 98% of all work on my X (I don't like anyone working on my vehicles while I'm not around). The shop gets my x for transmission flushes and alignments the rest is me. If anyone needs help or assistance with first gens just ask...

Im from Derry NH

hahaha...My '99 has 103k+ miles :D

wow, a good amount of new englanders on this site. i thought it was just a few of us funny talkin bad drivers on the board. i may not drive an ex anymore, but anyone that wants go wheeling should definitely send me an IM at Fred2210 if there ever in the area. i know a good amount of trails in Milford NH, and Mason NH. let me know when anyone is free and ill show them how a REAL truck does of road ;)

dude...i still hang around the Mark VIII boards and I sold that car a year ago. It's mainly, though to keep an eye on asking prices for cars, and because I still have a sub box and snow tires to get rid of!

I am an original New englander. I live up in Boxford Massachusetts. Its out in the stix. about 25min from NH border. Im still in high school and go to St Johns Prep in danvers. maybe some of you have heard of it. ah well, ive got a black 96 sport.

Scott

cool. is that out towards Fitchburg/Leominster? i have a couple friends who live there.

nope about an hour and a half east of fitchburg....im in the north shore of mass..Near Gloucester, Danvers, Topsfield, Peabody..etc

OK, I gotcha. Last time I was in that area (as opposed to thru) I was with my boss visiting the Boston Acoustics factory in Peabody. :D

wow i wish i could get in the factory...maybe take a test sample lol...

What's up guys.....we will be wheeling in october on the 18th in PA....anyone interested?

Hey all. I'm living in Pleasantville NY...yep Pleasantville, just like the movie. And no, everything isn't black and white:D . I'm keeping everything pretty much stock. If anything, and when I get the money, I want to do an intake kit and redo the exhaust. With paying back school loans, there ain't much money to spend.
Got a 2000 XLT 4.0V6 4door 4x4.

Augusta maine here, Got BFG all-terrains and rancho shocks, no lift yet but shocks and tires make a huge difference off road. Got lots of trails, the wood roads are all legal unless posted, no sign, free terrain. Up north in maine though, it dont matter either way.

That's awesome about Maine. Finally! A reason to be proud of Maine!! :D In Mass, I'm told there doesn't need to be signs for property to be "No Trespassing." That and I now owe the state $250 where there was NO SIGN! Ohhh well. If it didn't take half a day to get to Maine from here, I might go more often. More than, say, 3 times every 22 years! :D
