Any other 6x8 plate speakers?

Anyone know of any other TRUE 6x8 (not "universal fit 5x7/6x8/6x9") speakers out there other than the pioneer models? |I remember seeing some polk and/or infinity ones once upon a time...

You might be stuck with pioneers. I have Polkaudio.com and crutchfield.com bookmarked, and the only thing I saw outside of pioneer were 5x7/6x8 speakers. Polk's website sez they have speakers for every car, but doesn't say anything about true 6x8. Crutchfield carries 16 models from about 6 manufacturers, but only Pioneer listed as 6x8

What exactly do you mean by plate speakers?? Plate speakers are usually a 5" woofer and a 1" tweeter mounted on a 6" x 8" plate. I don't know what you mean by TRUE 6x8. Many companies make 6x8 speakers. Infinity, Kenwood, Rockford Fosgate, actually most compaies make either a 5x7 or a 6x8. Why do you need a "TRUE" 6x8?

I don't know of any other than what MrSteve said, but to be honest, you won't notice a huge difference between the 5x7 and 6x8 if you are thinking the 6x8 will put out that much more bass. That's also excluding the amount of excursion or cone travel that some 5x7s might have over the Pioneer 6x8s, so really it's just going with what you like best!

i got the pioneer true 6x8 and love them, i got the 3ways in the front and the 2way with the compression horn in the rear, they are definitly a huge differnce over the stock pieces of crap, well worth the money. don tget them from crutchfield unless you got money to burn because i got mine for $160 for all four, just look around town, and check out the flea markets cause you can get some really good deals there
