I have a vibration on the left front that only happens over MPH. It's not bad just a small shimmy I can feel in the steering wheel. I have had all 4 wheels re-balanced and tried rotating the tires and it doesn't make the vibration move. I recently did a brake job and the rotors didn't show any warping with the micrometer. I also don't feel any vibration when I use the brakes . My only thought is I might still have a small warp in the left front rotor that at speed is making the caliper move back and forth just enough to create the vibration ?? Any thoughts or suggestions ?

I’d pull the front driveshaft and take it for a ride.

A straightedge will tell a warped rotor much better than a micrometer. They can be warped, but uniform thickness.

Agreed, use a straight edge.

A warped rotor should make the vibration most noticeable when applying the brakes.

Beginnings of a front hub/wheel bearings going out? My Sport Trac did this, started with a slight vibration that tire balancing could not eliminate, then it got worse. It never had much noise with mine, just the vibration.

Shocks?
