Hey all. Just found this site not too long ago, great forum! Im trying to find some people in western washington area around the puget sound about info on where to get work done on my X, or someone that knows what they're doing (just got my first vehicle ever, im pretty dry on explorer intelligence right now).

Hopefully in the next month i'll have my explorer finished, my cousin sold me a wrecked explorer for 300 bucks, and im giving it an overhaul, including a lift. I wanted to see if there was anyone on this site that knows where to go for parts installation if i was to bring the parts for the lift that isnt too expensive, or if one of you out there is a guruu on installing stuff.

Any help would be awesome, people i could get ahold of, good shops to take the X to for installs, ect ect.

Welcome to the site, check out the links in my signature and stay tuned for future local runs.
This link is to a decent size group of bronco2 owners getting together this weekend down at Tahuya state forest near belfair they are a great group of folks and can help you out with your explorer.

Hey, I've got my old front end laying in back of my shop....6" skyjacker coils, 4" reinforced trailmaster drop brackets, super lift extended radius arms and prerunner steering.....and a lockrite locker in the front diff....if your interested give me a call 206 229 1234, i'll sell it all real cheap just to get rid of it.

Hey Arsoul, that front end you have, do you only have a front end? or complete lift laying in that shop? ide love the front end, but i have to do body work, paint, tires and wheels, and otehr stuff to my explorer, so i have a tight budget and dunno if ill be able to buy a rear lift after i possibly bought yours hehe. write back here or PM me when ya get a chance!

The "rear lift" is simple and cheap. You just have to convert the rear to spring over axle and if I remember correctly, the stock size shocks will work, depending on where you place them. This is a total of like 30 bucks if you can weld, a bit more if you can't. That's all there is to the rear lift. Simple and cheap. :)

Like bryan said, the rear is really cheap, just go SOA.
I'd probably sell the whole lot to you for $250, coils, steering, arms, axle, locker, warn hubs and all.

^^Definitely! You should definitely take him up on that offer considering it's way over $1000 for that new!

i probably will snag that offer up once time comes to put on a lift. thanks everyone! and for all the people that are giving info on riding groups around here, i also do quadding as well if any of you wanna get together and do that.

Hey Supergumby. See, I told you this site was a great place to find info, and find local people willing to help. Spacers, and shackles is a cheap, easy way to go. Add a body lift and walla... Someone out there in your area will be able to help you with that I'm sure.
Good luck with your rebuild...
Check ya later
