I just finally broke down and got some new 31's for my '99 and damn does it look so much better! This wimpy 235 goodyears had to go.

Anyway, I talked to the guys at the tire shop and he showed me the new Dunlop RVXT Xtreme terrains. He said they had just got them in and haven't sold a set yet so I decided to try them out. I was going to go with a BFG A/T or another aggressive A/T of some sort and I really liked the look of the Dunlop. Any of you guys tried them out yet? I've done some searching on the web and seen that they are getting great reviews so far, so I just wanted a few of your opinions.

One thing that I can't figure out though is I do have shackles and a small TT and these tires rub pretty bad on sharp turn/lock. I was under the impression that 31's should fit a stock 2nd gen with no problems?

Every truck is different, now if you were to go any bigger you would be having a lot more problems. But it is accepted that 31x10.5 are the biggest you can go on a stock suspension.

Yea, they are just hitting the lower part of the front bumper, right on the corner. I'm thinking I might just twist the torsion bars a bit more and see if that helps, it's just barely hitting from what I can tell.

sawzall is your friend ;).....lol yea if your Tbars arent already maxed out, you should be able to gain a bit of clearance.

I have tons of torsion bar adjustment left, I really haven't touched them much at all and I have the "B" bars so it should go up a good bit. I just hate to take the sawzall to that lower front bumper, it's "purdy Chrome" and the wife might get a lil upset if I go trimming it... :)

she'll never notice lol. ;)
