Anyone done the Brown Wire Mod in a 2003 Explorer

What is involved ? I read about it a long time ago.
But, I can't find the durn thing now...!

I just did it in my 2002 and I have step by step instructions. I will be glad to help you. Send me a PM and I will tell you what you need to know. I was alittle leary about doing it to mine, but it was really simple and you cannot tell it is done.

i have it done to my 03 x. if you go to stock 2002-2005 explorer in the fourm there is a heading that says 4x4 auto dissable and it tell you excatly how to do it, all you need is a 12v 30 amp relay and a switch no trouble to do at all.

That mod states it won't work on AWD V8's. I have an AWD V6, with three buttons, AWD, 4HI, 4LO. I DON'T have A4WD like I have read others have for this mod. With mine being AWD V6, can I use this mod??
