I am considering buying a kit to put white faces on my guage cluster. I have seen the silver faced ones in the newer SportTrack's and they look pretty cool. I have also gotten so used to having them in my Cobra, that it strains my (over 40) eyes when I go back to driving the X.

Steeda makes a conversion kit for this that runs about $200, which sounds steep, but I am sure is top quality like everything else they sell. Does anyone know of any other kits out there I should consider? Also, if anyone has done this, it would be nice to know how much work it is. Any inputs are much apprecaited.

Thanks!

you can get the indiglo gauges off ebay for like 50 and they light up green or blue. i set the green to match the interior lights in my x perfectly and i followed big tigs instructions from the sport truck section of the site.

Thanks guys. The package I was talking about is just a passive insert that goes in behind the guages. No electronics, nothing fancy, just uses the factoy guage lights. HOWEVER, now you have me all excited about the Indiglo option. This looks totally cool, and from the post, it really does not look that hard to install. I will check out this option. Thanks again for your inputs, I'm glad I asked!

nrauto.com makes good quality gauges. They have whiteface/normal night and also indiglo. They're really good and reasonably priced.

I got the white face gauge kit from Performanceproducts.com for about $110.00 and installed it on my 97 E.B. in just a little over one hour.

Good Luck!

Well, I checked out several options, and after looking around, I decided to order the indiglo's. I have to admit that this was mostly because they look so cool installed. Anywa, thanks again for the feedback, and links. This should be a fun little project!

How do you like the white pointers on the white gagues?

Are they harder to see?

Dunno. I painted mine orange when I installed the gauges, because I thought they would be harder to see if I left them white. I think Quick left his needles white. He has some pics too, if I'm not mistaken.
