anyone know how to adjust the spedometer needle?

well while installing my indigo gauges i took the needles off and now they are all messed up, i know how to adjust he ones with the little prong (except for the actuall spedomter) would i have to find out where 0 would be and adjust it from there? or do i just put it where the prong is?

well since im in a real hurry to finish it ill take everything off and leave the casing off today till i fix it...

i need help with this ASAP, my needle gets stuck (going to fix soon) and the car keeps thinking its going XXmph and the odometer keeps spinning as if i was going that fast

I did the same. All I can say is "trial and error". I had to use my Auterra software (Palm Pilot). It measures speed and RPM (among other things (via the ODB (?)) port. Your tach is probably off as well.
 






any hits you could give me as to where to point the needle?? i mean 1-2 mph doesnt matter, but 5+ does...
 






well i got it pretty darn close... final gear is at 40mph min, so i got it within 2mph.

the rpm i think if off though, i was going 70mph at 3k rpm which i think is wrong... i think it was 80mph at 3k rpm, so i slightly adjusted it with the car off, and it idled at around 1.5k rpm fresh turn on (think that wrong but oh well)

got the other gauges about right, battery is close, oil and water are in the middle at warm engine temp, full is just a bit below which is alright with me.

There are no hard and fast ways to guess where it should go. I consistently was 10 mph out as well and it took a lot of tweaking to get it right. I'm probably 1 mph out now and maybe 100 rpm. Took me an hour or so to get it right. I drove around a lot with the protective lens off and stoped and started and stopped and started. Make sure to check it at highway speeds too because the small difference at low speed tended to magnify at higher speeds.
 






i know my spedo is close for sure... i know that 40mph is the final gear. but as for the rpm i know im off because the needle doesnt touch down against the prong
