Anyone make a supercharger for Gen 3?

I was wondering if anyone makes a blower for a 4.6L? Kenne Bell used to advertise them but I guess never actually produced them. I emailed KB and they said that they don't and never did sell it because the demand was too low. I also know that Vortech makes blowers for the 4.6L trucks but don't seem to have one for the Explorer. Can anyone help?

Um..ever hear of the 03 Cobra. 4.6 supercharged!!! There are several choices for that motor.

The 03 Cobra has a DOHC where as the O3 Explorer has a SOHC....... Totally different intake manifold and gasket and valve placements. You can't just strap on a S/C to anything.

He was asking about blowers for the 4.6 engine. They do make blowers for the 4.6. The 03 Cobra engine is also cast iron and built. Forged pistons, ect, ect. I don't think he wants too just strap one on. You can add a supercharger to this engine, but you need to do some beefing up, or you will blow it up. There are some Mustang GT's ( 4.6L ) running around out there with blowers and the SOHC.
