I was looking through an issue of Truckin' magazine and saw an ad to convert your stock headlights to HID (high intensity discharge). Has anyone considered doing this? Thanks for any info.

Yup I sure have. That is untill I saw the cost. I havent seen anything for less that $600. or was it $800. Whatever..they are out there. Like the man says" It ain't a problem if money will fix it."
I just ordered a pr. of Solaris bulbs.
Will let you know how they look. I was sort of dissapointed in the PIAA bulds I put in my car. White, but not close to the HID look.

As Bill says, you can get the look by changing bulbs. But that's all you get, the looks, no increase in visibility at night. Real HID's require a complete new assembly including wiring. There's a reason why they cost over $1,000 as an option on luxury cars.
