Im working on a project and trying to figure out how to get a starter to fit. I have been looking at the powermaster and the CSR starters that Summit has in their catalog. Has anyone used one of these. I need the smaller size, the ability to clock them and the more off set from the pinion gear the better. Dont really need the extra power for starting but I guess it cant hurt.

Also if you happen to know of anyother companies that make starters let me know.

And why does ford stuff have to be so much more expensive and harder to get then chevy stuff :(

I am thinking something like this might work for what I need. Trying to get as much research done now so monday when the companies are open I can call get more info on the starters to see which one will hoperfully fit my needs.

those prices are under the cost of a stock starter from Ford :)
Your link brought up a bunch of starters, not sure which one you're looking at.

Because modded chevys are a dime a dozen.

We are a rare unique breed doing Explorers.

Summit uses frames and I didnt relize I didnt link just to the starter I was thinking about. I think their will be enough room to get one of these mini starters in where I need it. I just hope it has enough adjustablity that I could clock it in alot of differnt ways to make it fit. Once I get it figured out then it is on to figuring out how to get the exhaust to fit.

Bringing this up from the past -- RockRanger did you ever go with a non-stock starter?
