Has anyone had any experience with GY Wrangler SR-A tires? I know there are better ones out there, but I have a chance on a good deal. Tirerack rates them real good overall -- even in the snow. 1010tires.com rates them poorly -- especially in the snow. The tire pattern looks like it would be good in the snow. I'm a little leary since the above sites have such conflicting reviews, and since Jeep uses these as OEM tires? Thanks,

Don't waste your money...

Just because Jeep uses them doesn't mean they're any good.

They pretty much suck on ANY terrian. Those Futura scrambler h/t's that you can get dirt cheap at pep boys are a better tire than the SR-As

Hey Korey. Have you tried any local places or are they giving you the It's an Exploerer BS?
Wal-Mart has their brand A/T for a pretty good price. I think the milage is 40,000. Thae also sell the BFG Trail T/A.
Another tire you might consider is the General Grabber AP.

Thanks for the input guys. I passed up the set on e-bay. Don't really have the $$ right now. I need a 235/65/17 -- which is slowly becoming more popular. There was a new set of SR-As on e-bay for $180 (for all 4). I might go back to the Scorpion ATs (eventually), or Michelin Cross-Terrain SUVs. If I wait longer, more and more tires should be available in that size.
