I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THE BFG AT KO'S ARE GOOD IN SNOW. I KNOW LOTS OF U RUN THEM BUT I DONT KNOW HOW MANY OF U GET SNOW. I LIVE IN NORTHERN ALBERTA AND WE GET LOTS OF SNOW. IM GONNA CONTINUE RUNNING THEM ANYWAY BUT IF ANY OF U HAVE EXPERIENCED THE KO'S IN SNOW PLZ LET ME KNOW. I WANNA KNOW IF I CAN CONTINUE TO OFF-ROAD EVEN WHEN ITS -40 OUTSIDE AND THERE IS 3 FEET OF SNOW. GOTTA LOVE IT!

They are very good in packed snow or up to 12 in of loose powdery stuff, but if it's deep and powdery, I think it's not going to be as good as the Mud tires just because the threads are not as open as the MT.

You gotta love it to be wheeling in -40 weather. Heck if something goes wrong, hmmm....

They are no snow tire, but they are doing fine. It's less the thread but the compound. Real snow tires have softer rubber, and specially at -40 something you want to keep in mind. Also air down a little bit in winter.

LOGJOCKY, just a note on the side. Writing all in UPPERCASE is consedered as yelling on the web; nobody here is so deaf that you have to yell at us. ;)

sorry about the uppercase but i usually go on at work and i always forget to take caps lock off. i will be sure to change it.

come and stay in alberta for a winter and u will get used to it too. i like it in winter, its more peaceful. the only problem is no mud!!!

But snow can be fun too for wheeling!!! I'm originally from Switzerland and I think I wheeled more in snow than mud. The great thing about snow is that your vehicle stays clean (I'm not talking about city-, or interstate- or other salt-infested snow, just about nice wheeling snow away from civilisation) and the interior just needs to dry (or freeze) up, the bad thing that snow always comes combined with cold temperatures ;)

My 33x10's are great in the snow. Good for trips to Whistler in the wet, slippery stuff and good in pack powder as well. Did a trip up Harrison Lake in deep snow last year. I was the only truck still moving forward when we turned around. Some of the tires included 35" mudders, other AT's, Swampers, etc. Snow driving is more about the driver than the tire though. Slow and easy....
