The day after I agreed to buy the black '01 ST last week, the fan on the '94 Explorer it was replacing disintegrated, effectively killing the engine when it then overheated. Not a huge loss as the Ex was about to be scrapped anyway. Now a week later, my son's beautiful, rust free '97 Mountaineer was totaled when someone pulled out in front of him!

Haha sorry! I think it's more the gray silver though. You should be ok

Ok, this thread is all wrong. Like I said in the other thread last week, GOD IS GOOD!!! Sure, we've lost 2 vehicles in the last 8 days, but I also took possession of the '01 ST, replaced the inside rearview mirror Thursday, had the front end rebuilt Friday, replaced the broken front corner lights Sunday, changed oil yesterday, fixed the shift indicator and removed the large decal that was blocking sight out the back window today. In short, I got the truck and got it ready for anyone to drive just before we really needed it.

God is so good!

Personally I think black trucks are nice, that's my favorite color on a truck, or even a car. You got it right though, God is good, that is His eternal nature.

My blue S10 (16 y/o purchase) had a failed transmission, my subaru I sold after a head gasket and transmission repair. My white camaro survivied a serious side swipe, but was scrapped 2 years later. Rolled my black F350. My white/red ranger made it till the engine cracked (still have it as a trailer), but my current Ranger, Explorer, and Centurion are all in great condition. Blew the transmission and or the rear main seal on my black B2, so I'm still holding out hope that black isn't an omen color on rigs.

Glad your son is okay. That was a nice Mountaineer.

My wife will only buy black vehicles. It's worked out so far.

My black one has been good luck (know on wood)

my 05 ST is dark blue, *knocks on wood* no serious problems.
