are parts interchangable?

are all parts interchangeable between the ranger and explorer? specifically the drive shaft?

I'm sure most parts are, but post back some more detail on each vehicle including the Year, Engine Type/size, How many doors/cab size and 2 or 4 wheel drive. It'll help narrow the field down, not all years are comparable to each other. Then someone will chime in to help you I bet.

i have a 2002 ford ranger v6 2wd 2door, i also have a 97 ford explorer v6 4wd 4door. I may need only a new u joint for my explorer, or possibly a drive shaft and u-joint. I called pick a part and they dont have the driveshaft for the explorer so i was thinking of calling back to see if they have one off a ranger if it will fit. please check my other thread(has pics) and thanks for the help!
