- 1997 Ford Explorer Sport
I'm the original owner of a 1997 Ford Explorer Sport. Ten years ago the trans was rebuilt.
There were odometer and speedometer issues. A new speed sensor did not solve what I assumed were related issues, so we looked around and found a replacement instrument cluster on eBay.
Frankly, I guess over time I didn't notice or pay much attention to the lights when starting the engine.
It starts with check engine and ABS, ends with 4WD and 4WD LOW lights on the right side of the dash. The red ebrake light is on throughout. ABS is on briefly. I tried uploading a video and kept getting the message that it's too long, even like 5 seconds.
Anyhow, does it all seem okay? Or at least not problematic?
Bonus question: Occasionally the 4WD and 4WD LOW lights on briefly. Should I necessarily be concerned? If it's "not big deal" but not ideal, I'm prepared to live with it.
Thank you.
