I'll find out about hotels near our house this weekend and post it by Monday. The closest one is about $100/night. I'll check the other though.

If I recall correctly, the rock crawl is not something for a stocker. Let me know if a stocker can make it. I do have slightly larger tires, but Im not sure If a rock crawl is in my blood yet!

Thanks

Steven

It's getting hot down here... 104 right now and it's supposed to be in the above 110 this weekend. Anyone want to do two days in Flag instead of the desert rock crawl? It only takes two hours to get from Flag to our house for the BBQ.

Even leaving early in the morning the desert gets dangerously hot very quickly.

Let me know your thoughts on this.

Please read the post 2 above this.

Let me know what you want to do and who is coming asap. We need to plan for the BBQ as we are supplying all the food.

Rick

Would it be worth it for me to drive my truck out there? Also of who is going how many seats are there open to ride in in case we cant drive because of the terrain.
And just to bring the dates back up to date its June8,9,10 right?

Sorry to say Brian, but you would be digging to China in this terrain. Fourwheel drive is a must.

I am still planning on coming out for the run. I don't know how late I can stay on sunday for the bbq. I plan on getting into the cinders late Friday night and have to leave early sunday to get back. Hey gopher I may have one opne seat if the two people I have talked to drop out. Also I drive right past westminister to get there so I could maybe give you a ride out and back.

Matt

Keep me posted..Thank you for the offer...depending on the people..might take you up on it...I'll help ya on gas too.

I will keep you posted. If it happens I won't be leaving Julian (where my parents live) till about 6 friday evening so to you about 8 and flagstaff 2 or 3 in the morning.

Matt

Well, I'll pose this question once again as no one answered last time.

It's getting hot down here... 109 right now and it's supposed to be above 110 this weekend. Anyone want to do two days in Flag instead of the desert rock crawl? It only takes two hours to get from Flag to our house for the BBQ.

Even leaving early in the morning the desert gets dangerously hot very quickly.

I say do both days in Flag, but since I am not going to be able to make Sunday, Its not really up to me.

Steven

Cool

Debby says 2 days in Flagstaff! ( we still have our reservations). ;)

I can go ether way sence I don't know how late I can stay sunday cause I need to be back in San diego farly early sunday.

Matt

Rick, I'm not getting there till Saturday afternoon, and much as I'd like to check out the tuff stuff, 110 IS a little hot! So, cinders for two days sounds cool. Or we can all hang at your house the whole weekend, you DO have air conditioning and a big pool, right?

As it stands right now, I may not be able to attend with the navajo. The solid axle swap won't be done by then, and if it was, I really don't want to drive it that far untested..

I'm debating; if there's an open seat, I can always jump on the VFR saturday, and play on sunday, down for the BBQ, and out on monday..

Is there any open seats? If there isn't any, then I'm just out.

Guys, in thinking things over, I'm out.

I'll be working on the solid axle conversion friday and monday.

Have fun!

That's a bummer especially since you called for this trip ;-) I know how it is to have the truck down for an extended time though... it sucks!
