I don't think we will do that joint run again. We could start out at the same place in the morning, but the "big dawgs" would break off along the way to hit some of the tougher trails.
So many trails... so little time...
As for the runners, unless they decided to change their weekend also we should be ok!
Rick, should I put my locker in there before to get on some good trails? Or are the "big dawg" trails gonna be a little too much even with the locker? I'd like to hit something a little harder if possible, but some of those trails you post about look pretty mean
I guess I'll wait till you pick exactly what we plan to run...ps, can we still paypal the money to you? If so, to what e-mail address?
As I said in an earlier post you have to be willing to accept mechanical breakdowns and body damage. 2 traction devices with at least one "true" locker (detroit, ARB, Powertrax etc..) should be considered mandatory.
Hmmmm, I think you have me and the Truckhaven run confused with this one. I haven't made up my mind whether to try and make this one yet.
But it's on my mind. I love Arizona and Phoenix, having lived there about 9 years of my life. And I have plenty of relatives there too.
Even though I will have lockers front and rear, I do belong to the category of having to drive it home over 1000 miles.
You guys on this board are nutz! I have barely started to think about Truckhaven and now another run in the West is being planned.
I would love to go on this one but I'm moving that next week so I don't see it happening.
Damn, this really motivates me to get those sliders on ASAP. I am locked in the front with an excellent rear LSD. This will probably be about the hardest run I have done yet in the DSRT FX4.
Originally posted by Msupertek Hey truckmagic and twotonex if you do end up going later on lets make a point to meet together. Then we can wolf pack to Arizona.
Sounds like a deal...My Dad and I will probably be leaving on the 19th, spending the night in New Mexico (he has a place there) then get to AZ on the 20th. We drove straight through last time from CO so we'll be taking it easy this time
Oh, Rick and Tom and all you west coast old-timers I think I've finally convinced my Dad to buy a first gen and lift it He said he wants the works, big lift, lockers, etc... wants to keep it in New Mexico so he might be out there in the west tearin it up with you guys soon
If we can be without our trucks for a few weeks before and after we can load them in shipping containers and send them by sea ... maybe save a few bucks.
I would just like to make sure people are going to this event before I pay. Do you know who all is going so far.
I just put in my request for vacation the other day so I don't have to rush down there.
I just got back from my road trip with my family for the holidays to Wisconsin... tomorrow I will hound my wife for her paypal acct to send the $20 for this one... sorry I have been so late; then I will fill out the registration form although I will be looking at a 2.5 or so I have had to save $$ for when I get out of the Air Force in July... so I will have to take the mild stuff. I look forward to seeing all of your trucks and with any luck ( ok well; my wife's permission ) I will see about the $20 to register for T-Haven in 14 days!!! So you have 1 more on board for the AZ run!
I am planning to attend this Run. I know I cant make T-haven, so this is would be great. Body damage is OK by me I just dont want to tip it. Any thing mechanical that breaks is cool too As long as I can limp home.
