I have a 02 XLS V6 4.0L, i have been getting rough idle for a little while so i take it to my local dealer to check what's happenin.

And they told me this:

- Low fuel pressure (i will buy it online cause i can get it half the price they are charging me), is this cause of problems or could it be a dirty fuel filter, i have to change mine but they dont have it right now on stock.

- Code P1151, O2 sensor 2-1 (change sensor)

- Code P1409, lost signal of EVR sensor (change EVR valve)

What O2 sensor is that (in plain words) and what is that EVR valve, cause i only find EGR valve.

The other problems are small thing i would do myself.

Please help me ASAP.

By some miracle I hope your problem is as simple as this:

Note, the person who has the V-6 but the same problem. Good luck.

Dayum, Syber, that's a tough problem and some good troubleshooting.

Vacuum leaks can be a cast iron biotch.

I use the (unlit) propane torch method to hunt for them - works great (just don't be stupid - like me once - and accidentally light the torch - doh!).

to the OP, I can't help, but I would agree with Syber - go down his path, at the worst, it's a start. At best, it fixes your problem.

Could you show me about that propane torch method??
