Atlas II Driving tips??

Like I stated in the other post, you don't need to do either.

They SUGGEST a 1" body lift for ease of installation, but it is not needed.

Likewise a custom tranny crossmember is not needed.

You may want to trim the front off the stock tranny crossmember so that the front driveshaft will be able to clear more easily.

Actually I did need a custom tranny mount in order to get enough clearance between the T-case and the floor. I suppose each truck has slightly different clearances from the factory.

There is no way they could put the AtlasII in my truck without either modifying the crossmember or doing a body lift. Must just be one of those maybe it will, maybe it won't kind of things.
It wouldn't in my case.

The thumb throttle will pull it wide open if you want. I used an existing hole.

A skid plate has been added to the crossmember that you see in the article.

Yes and No.

It's a piece of steel welded to the new crossmember that protect the T-case. Simple.

The Atlas II hangs down that low? is it attached to anything in the rear?
