Scott, I am going for sure. Put me on for both days. Let's get Kampy to go too.

Those picks look great. Is that Kampy's Ranger?

Scott, I want to go and so does Anne. I'm not sure when a good weekend will be though. Right now I'm planning on a run to NM sometime in Oct if all goes well to visit some friends and do some wheeling.

Are we planning on getting your lift done first????

Plus I've got to find time to get my nerf bars made.

sure want to go

Man i sure do want to go now that Riffman80 kinda talked me into it, but wont know if ill be able to till later in the date. got 10 million things going on and money is running out. guess i could sleep in the truck right. and i dont really need a shower and as long as i bring peanut butter and ritz crackers i can eat. ha ha just kidding , but i just moved and we you know how that is. well its not cheap. but i surely want to go!!!! its about 7-8 hours from me so its a good drive. but i know i would have a blast. ima keep thinking bout it though.

I might be joining you guys on the 3rd. I have to see how things pan out.

yeah...i would like to get my lift done first, but i want to go so bad i can taste it!! so if i don't get the lift on in time, i'll still make do.

Did you get extra travel from removing yout f/r sway bars? Did it change the ride any?

Hey Scott, did you use those Terra grips at Hanks?

answer one sway bars

( 2001ExpSport ) i took the rear sway bar off a long time ago and didnt notice any difference but more wheel travel.
the front well i just replaced the sway bar bushings and i lost two bolts so i just put som regular bolts in the. well they came loose without me nowing it so i was driving without the sway bar for a few weeks never knew it till i went to change my axle boot. so i took the whole thing off. before i had some home made quick disconnect pins but they messed up my bushings cause they werent a perfect fit. so your (MY) answer to your question is yes more wheel travel and no i odn't know the difference i still drive it at 90 on the highway and fast on the back country roads too. no problems yet.

Later

I'll go, just E-Mail me some info on when and where.

oops....

Can't show

I hate to tell ya, but once again I can't come guys. Most of ya may not know me but my name is Pete and I'm a student out at Western Illinois Univ....I wanted to go on the run earlier in the summer but I broke my explorer. Now with what I got on it, it should be able to kick some ass. Or at least I hope it can. Sorry guys...we lost our last offroading spot in our home town and I've gone once since all the final work was done. Yeah it's the first weekend back from school and the friends and girlfriend wouldn't appreciate me being gone all weekend...Though from ya guys I expect some more wicked pictures, as is I was impressed with the first trips pictures...Anyways, sorry again, and I wanna keep this up and if there is anymore 3-day weekends before the dead of winter, who knows maybe another trip..Anyway...have fun for me

-Pete

i can guaren-damn-tee ya that im going to go again.....with my superlift coming in.....i gotta break it in somewhere's ya know?!?! so i immagine that it will only be a matter of weeks before im ready again.......

As far as rates go......it is $15 a day....or $20 for 2 days....or $30 for 3 days.....but let me tell ya....1 day got me tired....2 wore me out (but thats probably cause i got super stuck on sunday) theres also a $5 per passneger per day fee....

these are rules from their website....i added a few comments:

1. Flags required for all ATV's and trucks. (they're like $5 when you sign in)
2. Helmets required at all times, anytime, anywhere NO exceptions NO WARNINGS (these are for quads only, not us)
3. There is a 5mph speed limit In the parking areas. Please keep speeds
down to prevent accidents and to keep dust down. (yeah....like they have a freakin radar gun...)
4. Parents' supervision is required for anyone under the age of 18. NO dropping your kids off for us to baby-sit.
5. No rain checks or refunds for breakdowns!!!
6· Multi-day passes must be paid as you enter the park on the first day.
7. NO ALCOHOL! If you are caught with it you are out - PERMANENTLY! (my a$$!!! on sunday....when i was the only one there....i was wheelin with guy named willy....he was drinkin beer and smokin pot!! needless to say i didn't follow him much longer...but my point is...if you really really really really really really like beer...you can get it in....im not promotin it...im just sayin.....)
8. Watch for trucks, loaders, etc. The terrain is constantly changing. Check
each hill!!! Pre-ride all hills and trails before riding extreme!!! Be courteous
to other riders and employees!! (this is going to be a big one....because its labor day weekend.....its going to be freaking packed!!!)
9. Please stay in the posted areas of the park. Do not venture off posted property. Do not be destructive. We do not own any farm grounds. Stay out of the fields!

there also some new things...full size trucks are no longer allowed in the park.....uh...a limit of 2 passengers unless there is a rollcage around the back....im not sure how that works for us.....and there is a new trail named mission impossible 3 that is the HARDEST trail they have. (aka.....not for me!!! haha)

so.....there are no minimum requirements....but if you are stock or close to stock....you are going to have to be more careful.....body damage is a "might"...i think that one thing that helps is a body lift....this way that more things hit your skidplates than you rocker panels....but if you a crazy ******* like myself, then you won't care about body damage....

I really can't think of a better meeting spot than the IGA there in town. really that seems to be pretty good.
heres a map:

so....what time should we meet? the park opens at 9:00 am...anyone anyone?
