Hey, let's get this thing straight now. We still have like almost three months before the event. We should plan on leaving Thursday night. I'm still waiting to hear from Rick as I hope we can all leave Chicago together. I have reservations already at the Ramada in Lafayette. We can always ask the for a roll-a-way bed to accomodate extra people. That's not a big deal, it'll only be extra $7.00. Let's just send our registration forms in now so we're not left out. Dave I would send it in now since there's a limit of 200 vehicles. I'm leaving Thursday then, wheeling Friday, Saturday and possibly Sunday and then going home Sunday evening.

i spoke to someone at SPORT IN THE ROUGH and she could not give me and exact number of how many people signed up , but did say there are a lot of spots let.

FlyAU-Why are you flying in? Why not drive? I live about 20 minutes from ORD, but I most likely will be leaving Thursday night. If you can only fly, then change your flight times. I know you are not flying private because ORD charges up the you know what for privates to land. I am not even sure if they allow it unlees for emergencies. It's your call, let me know.
Just so everyone knows, my room is full(myself, RichSport, Commocozy and his j**p friend). I think four is enough. Splash, don't worry, go ahead and shack with your dad. I'll let you know about when we plan to leave at Hooters.
NIEC-Guys, I think we should seriously set up a hard copy of times when different groups plan to leave(ie. thurs and fri). Trying to get things straight here is tough. At least we can get something settled for NIEC members. Then we can tell others who want to caravan w/us what the departure times and meet/route locations will be. Caravaning is a great idea, it gets us there together and if something happens there is help behind you.(unless you are last..lol)

Alrighty, I've been scratching my head on this one and I am strongly considering going. Any idea on what the total cost would be for this for the whole event? Sounds exciting, some wheelin' and get to see the Great Pumpkin. I'm going to have to keep thinking about this. Maybe I could drag Stephen out with me!

well the cool thing about this event is that you pay the dues but it looks like they provide all-you-can-eat meals (which for me is quite a bargain actually, LOL). By the way, now its SUPER-official that I will be there... I'll bem aking hte hotel reservations tomorrow

Well, If I get Frankenstien back togather again, I'll be there. I have the motor set in the truck but that is only half the battle. IF I get it running in Feb, and IF there are any spots left...Then I'll go. Sounds like fun, plus you get a Dash Plaque!

Ramada $52 a night.
I just setup resevations a the Ramada for $52 a night for a king size bed with a recliner in the room(Dad has a bad back and can't sleep in a bed very well). I told them there were going to be three of us(me my som and dad) and they didn't care. They even have an indoor pool. Just a little info.

Howdy Everyone
Rick just tried to talk me into showing up at Attica so I read through this thread. I checked mapquest and see that it is 875 miles away. I checked my vacation time and my checkbook and this will have to be a no-go for me
I hope to get a few Explorers showing up at the SWFWDA quarterly run being held at the newly constructed OHV park in Gilmer TX and Attica is only a couple of weekends before that. And then there is Moab just two weeks after that. Too much to do in only one month for me. Unfortunately I won't have the vacation time to declare to make it up to see you guys; I'm using all my vacation for Moab and won't have more vacation time until July.
