attica turkey run after math

Scott, I didn't take any of me, but I believe Todd and Anne did. That was half a roll, I used what I had left. I thought they were pretty good too, better that last time.

By the way, I didn't get another reaming. Katy had fun, but it's hard to tell when the truck is leaning like it was if your going to tip over or not. She just isn't used to it.

Oh and guess what, I crushed about 2 gallons out og my fuel tank and twisted up the tank strap pretty good. When I start it in the morning cold it won't idle. I have to put my foot on the gas for about 30 seconds and then it runs from there. Also removed that stupid cold air box, cleaned my fliter and recharged it with a K&N kit. Seems to run fine except for the idle problem.

badl0002.jpg

this is one of the guys who offered to guide us on the pipeline.....all leafs...LOOK AT THAT FLEX!!!!!

Ok everyone the pics are up. 215 of them!!! They need some work. Some are fuzzy, some black and white, no captions, etc. But they are there. I'll try to get them resized and arranged but I don't know when ???

The leaf springs are still in my head, Scott, stuck there like everything else.

I think Matt bashed his tank coming out of that mudhole on the green trail.

Matt, Anne watched the video while I was loading the pics, she said it looked pretty good. Thanks.

Later guys.

I'd say so. Everything under my truck is covered in mud. Remember, once you get in the hole with a couple of feet of mud in you're gonna get it in every little cravice there is. It's now more like a mixture of mud, little stones and lots of leafs. I'm still working on my rig to get all the trail caused damage fixed. Driver's side U joint replaced, both wheel bearings replaced, still waiting for ABS sensor and some seals. Pass side is next but

HELL YEAH! I'm ready for another trip!

Kampy, great looking pix! I got to get a digital camera. This way I can take more pictures too! Mine are comming soon.

Later,

PS> That U-joint was something else to replace. I messed one up putting it all together (broke dust seal). Well, it's a learning process. Kampy, is replacing ball joints easier or harder then u joints in your opinion. I want to make sure I can do it myself before attempting.

I moved the pics into separate folders by whose truck it was. That way if you want some of yours you don't have to look through 200+ pictures. I hope that makes it easier for you. heres a link to the main index. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumList?u=1153055&Auth=false

Here's a sample of some of the badass rides that showed up for the run.

WHOA!! my rig is badass?! awesome!!!!

Great frickin action shot of matt there!!!!!!

Action shot? he was just spraying mud all over the place. It was like >>raining mud in Attica<< lol

Great job Todd, thanks a lot. Look like I'm gonna start an album with all the pictures.

Well, my truck is done. Wifey is sceptical though how long this will last. Will see.

I'm trying to work on a possibility of installing my winch in a very near future. Priorities you know. First thing's first.

My pics are being scanned.

Later,

Andre, did you manage to get the "pinstriping" off the side of your explorer? It looked like it might come out with some compound.

Riff, he said "******" not "badass".....oh wait, he did say badass :D...my mistake. You damn near have me talked into 35's. That means i'll have to put on power steering to. :) It would be a rollerskate on steroids :)

John, pinstripping? my truck is not I would say entirely clean yet. I just finished fixing what I broke on the trail and then some. Now I'm ready to take it out and give it a good bath. Will find out then how much damage I got. Driver side rocker for sure. Now I got both sides rockers caved in. Well, what can I say? I've been on a trail.

Pix have been scanned, loading..........

Back from Thanksgiving vacation

Cool pics Todd and yes, I believe I crushed my tank in that hole while trying to get out.

I reset the CPU and it starts up cold just fine. Seems that the CPU does not like water.

Here's my idea for the rocker panels. I was thinking of puting a few layers of Herculiner on the bottom. What do you guys think? No point in bondo and paint because if it gets hit it'll rack and crumble off. I can also do the herc myself. Is that stuff brushed on or rolled? Anyway, that's my idea so far. I just need to figured out how to fill the clip holes.

I am not going to tell Scott he has a sweet rig because he already knows that.

Matt ,I would just weld the holes up and use the herculiner. It sounds like the way to go to me.

Sure would like to do just that on my rockers. Both sides have bruises now. I might not want to fix it just yet though. My factory running boards will cover what's damaged. Look like my wife now want me to buy a Sport and modify the heck out of it and bring her Limited back to live. Still, I have to think about it.

Pictures uploaded, now I have to set up a page and update all the links.

Anybody heard from Dave?? Hello!?

Cool.

Nice pix, looks like you guys had a blast. Far be it from me to mention how much easier that mud hole would have been for a nice short Sport! ;) (Running for cover!)

Guys, I know I'm alive here. It wouldn't surprise me if Dave is bogged down by graduation and we've got 3 weeks of school left till the end of the semester. So I bet he's really busy with all of that. I must say, I can tell everyone had a hell of a time. Although, it must have sucked to take on water. Well, I ended up getting the lock fixed on my truck, but it goes in this week for steering work. So who knows how much that will cost and take, besides alot. I was goin through quite a power steering fluid, but I'm hoping it's just a hose and it was squirting all over the place. On a good note, I'm over half way done with one kick panel and I've tested a new speaker in there and it's awesome. I also completed the carpeting of all my stereo crap in the cargo area. So I was still busy over break...The Wheaton Police decided to harass me and pull me over saying my tires are too wide and my bumpers are too high! Go me! My truck is illegal. I was alone at the time, not speeding yet it took 2 squads and 4 cops to take care of the situation. I believe they liked it cause they were askin tons of questions about it and where I've gone wheelin with it...So it was definately an interesting Thanksgiving break for me.
Pete

sundown, mine is a sport and I couldn't get out.

Pete, sounds like the pigs were bored. I also noticed you have started writing in complete sentences, why the sudden change?

Scott, just wanted to say that your rig is badass!! awesome!!!!
