I just put some white face gauges in my 98 Explorer. Everything is fine but the speedo..it now "jumps", doesnt run smoothly. The speeds are accurate though. any ideas?

yeah make sure that the gauge faces are in there flat and arent bushing against the needle. If you removed the needle, make sure that it is put back on flat. Other than that I dont know hope you get that taken care of

The gauge is bubbling under the speedo. I tried to retape it, no go. I gotta go to NC tomorrow, so i took out the center section. gonna get some double sided tape and cover the back side of it.

I replied to your PM. I also used double sided tape to secure the edges of my gauges. Like I said before make sure you push the needle down to far.
