I'm currently changing my plug wires on my late 97 V8 (GT40P Heads). I can't get the #4 cylinder (Pass side rear) wire out from the two plastic conectors on the head/valve cover.

Any tips?

Thanks,
Aaron

Are you trying to get in from the wheel well? That's what I would do. Just get a screw driver in there and pry it apart (if I remember correctly).

lol so the if i remember correctly was like...it u break it i didnt say anything =) lol

bormally just pulling harder or some prying will get those turds out..i always wuss out and think im gunna break it lol

Thanks guys - yea, I just broke them off with some 16" needle nose. (From above and the wheel well)

Though silly Ford/Autozone/Me - the replacement wires I have are for the 96 v8 with the GT40 heads, and not my GT40P heads. One wire is too long, one is too short. And it's snowing like a mother outside. So.... time to get creative with zipties to route these bad boys away from the manifolds.

I have GT40 wires on my P heads. They should have different wires?? Ooops.

Well theoretically the coil packs are the same and a spark plug is a spark plug. It's all in the length. Nothing more, nothing less, which means I can route these any way I want.
