Alright guys, Im in the market for some 5x7 components. I had the Infinity reference picked out but they are not available at the moment. Other than the Infinities and the Kicker 5x7 components I dont know of anyone else that has them. Can any audio buffs help me out with some good choices if you know of any.

ma audio has a hard kore component 6x8.....

Pioneer has them but you have to special order them off their website.

Memphis did make a 5x7/6x8 component set... in addition there are 5x7/6x8 component "plate" speakers, it has a mid and a tweet mounted to a plate the size of a 6x8/5x7 speaker, I believe pioneer, audiobahn and others make these....

JL Audio makes a very good 5x7 comp set...

They retail for over $400 but can be purchased on eBay (sans factory warranty) for around $200-250. I have their 5.25" XR525 CSi comp set and am very pleased with the way they sound. The sound is very detailed without being too harsh, in contrast to the set of MB Quart Q-series I had before.

The JL ones would be nice but they are way out of my price range. Im looking to get something for under $150 on the internet (etronics.com). The Infinities were $115. I need something with a detached tweeter cause I already have holes drilled in the doors for the currrent tweeters.

Have you considered adapters an 5.25 components? I am going with round speakers this time. They are generally cheaper than the ovals, since they fit more things. I've had the $80ish Infinities, and the Alpines in the same price range, and haven't been happy with either. Be sure to report back when you do decide on something. I am in the market for some, and could use a review. :)

Well I am currently running 6.5" components right now. They sound good but I was just wanting the 5x7/6x8 components cause they are a direct bolt in.
