audio system problem!!!

hi

I'm driving a 96 xlt. yesterday my radio stoppet making noise, it still works but there is no muziek! when I turn it on, the display works properly, it seeks stations, you can see the volume go up and down,everything works but there is no noise comming out of my speakers! ?????? The plugs in the back of the radio are good connectet!

anybody some suggestions>>>:(

is it factory ,or aftermarket ??
 












it's possible your factory amplifier went out and that's the reason for no sound !!
 






I vote factory amplifier as well. If you have a junkyard near you, you might find one (or someone might have one here to help you out) it is behind the rear passenger side trim in the back cargo area under the rear side window.

Open one up and you'll see why. They aren't exactly old-school PPI.

the amp was not wasted, there was no power on the bleu mute cable, so the amplifier didn't switch on.

I britghet a wire from acc.

it works.:thumbsup:
