Okay, I know there are a lot of you guys out there that LOVE audiobahn... I'm looking to do my system on a budget if possible... I need door speakers for all four doors, 1 12" sub 1-1.5' of airspace preferably, and then the amps to push it... I already have a deck so thats taken care of... So what are your guys reccomendations...

Otherwise,

I'll be going all JL Audio, but thats not really budget and will take me a lot longer to get it all together to do...

Thanks...

i just purchased 3 alum10q subs, powered by the a2300hcq amp, and abc6002q components for fronts, ach680p speakers for rear, powered by a4601q amp. got 2 lightning audio 1 farad caps. i bought it from www.thezeb.com whcih has good service, and the guys know their stuff. audiobahn isnt really a system for someone on a budget id say. but i hope their stuff i worth it. im waiting for the stuff to be delievered sometime next week and hope to get it in before i come back to school on jan 10. i will have pics of everything as soon as i can.. but probably not before mid jan. thezeb is one of the few authroized audiobahn dealers. u might want to call them up and check out their prices.

oh i forgot.. i was told that the alum10q only need 0.65 cubic feet per sub. which is very little i think.

I'll be running a clarion 9375 HU, and when I say budget 1000-1200 is budget, I used to spend around 3K on my systems... I just can't do that now though...

jssong - trust me, Audiobahn is worth the money, IMO they make some of the best amps in the world and their q (flame) series subs are second to none, talk about a massive magnet structure. Their amps and subs are extremely clear and powerful, that sub will put out a sick amount of bass and still sound smooth, not boomy at all.

I'll be using audibahn for my system in the 03' Mounty when we get it.

Hmmm.... Maybe I'll be going with JL Stuff... I swore I kept reading about people putting together good systems on a budget with Audiobahn....

oh saleen.. of course audiobahn is worth it..otherwise i woudlnt have spend every last dollar i had on it. ive been planning this system for almost 3 years.. and i finally decided to get it with the money i scraped up. im so excited.. but only if they would ship it.. jeEz.. im leaving for home next fri, and hopefully they will send it to me by then so i can get it put in :)

once it's installed - you will be  :D :bounce:

Heath, I would definatly go with Audiobahn. Most of my system is AB, and I couldnt be more happy with it. If you check out the clearence page for Audiobahn stuff on www.thezeb.com you will find some killer deals. I hope to buy a 6 channel amp for my mids and highs from them soon to complete my system. The people there are awesome, and shipping is only like $7 per order. Within your budget I think you can get a very nice system from them. Do you want us to recomend what you should get?

O yea, All Audiobahn equipment is rated at 12 volts, and our trucks run at 14.4 volts when running, so you can get quite a bit more power out of their amps. All specs you find should be watts RMS, not MAX watts like a lot of other brands advertise. Happy shopping! :D

Yes, jssong you will really like the tri-Alum12Q setup... I only have about 615 watts going to each of my subs, and they POUND. I can only imagine what the 2300 amp will make them do! (I've got the 2200)

actually i went with the 10q's. they should have better sq along with that their sq subs. i cant wait. just need them to ship already :p

I have a contact that has really good prices on audiobahn, pm me if interested.

hey 94 sport,
alittle off topic here but how does that polyfill in your box work for you, i've been thinking of getting soke for mine and tricking the subs into thinking they're in a bigger box. in theory this should give me more sound of them. just wanted to see what somebody that uses it thinks

Honestly, I could not tell you if adding it made a noticable sound difference because I built the box with the poly-fil already in it. I believe that most people will build a box, install the subs, listen to them, and then add poly-fil...

I have heard a lot of people say that they did notice a difference though. All I can tell you is that the subs hit the low notes very well. Could they do it just as well without the extra .25 cubic feet? I dunno...

heath
you can build an awesome system for 1000 bucks
audiobahn can help ya! along with www.thezeb.com

go over there and go to the audiobahn link on the left side...then click audiobahn speicals.
unfortunatly they're aren't any 12's on speical...so you can get a mad deal on a kick ass 10. I think you'd be very happy with they ALUM10X.
heres what i'd buy

2 of the ACX680P = $200
1 of the ALUM10X = $109
1 of the A2801X = $249
1 set of AC200 = $20
shipping for everything listed above...only $7!!!!
a wiring kit if needed= $40 or so depening on where you get it.
and a box which will vary but probaby around 60-80

that only totals to just over 680.
that will leave you extra play which i would spend on a 130 amp alternator. which will set ya back about $125 pending core. and an optima battery for around 180. and your still only sittin at $985. Which will leave you $15 for gas to go out and cruise your new system or take your girlfriend or wife out to eat. can't beat that planning!!!!!
