then make sure it is whired as an open circuit not closed so it's + to - and + to + terminal and - to - terminal if that makes sense, i don't know i'm really hammered right now. thank you come agianj
Originally posted by mohog I agree with expo5.0, buy nothing audio related on ebay. unless it's dynamat, i get all my dynamat off of ebay for half the price, im in the process of doing my whole explorer. i have rf subs with excellon amp but i have heard audiobahn and it does very well in the bass department. unfortunately the good subs they make are pricy and the amps are too. if you are going to buy anything make sure it has a warranty. and it sounds like your voice coil is blown on your rf 10
I disagree completely... I bought my entire system on eBay, all Audiobahn components, and I also got all of the wiring, connectors, fuse holders, interconnects, etc. eBay saved me about $2000 over buying it from a dealer. I would much rather save that much money than pay it for a mere warranty, especially with a company like Audiobahn... First off, they are known to have high quality equipment. Second, if your equipment breaks, they are known to repair and/or replace it, even if you don't have a warranty or did not buy it from an "authorized dealer", for a small fee.
Don't ever buy Dynamat or it's imitators online or anywhere else besides a building contractor. Building contractors sell a roofing material that is the same thing as Dynamat but costs about 1/5 what Dynamat does. That's another reason to use alternate means of buying equipment... Buy it from a dealer and you pay for the name.

i got one audiobahn 12 (aw1205x 2001 model) sounds awesome. just compare the specs between the two. my audiobahn has a sensitivity of 94 db and peak rms power of 1000 watts, the similar RF had like 88db and peak rms of 1000watts, the audiobahn is going to be much louder simply because it can do more with the same power.
and if you take your time you can get the same deals from real people and with warranties.
i just bough abc6003q's for $250 new shipped to me with a full warranty... thats as cheap as i've seen them anywhere including ebay
also, i bought 22 feet of 0 gauge, and all the dist. blocks, battery terminals, etc. etc. for $130 from a real person. the retail price ont hat stuff would have been close to $350.
if you spend enough time on these boards and send enough emails you can find awesome deals
