A little background.
I bought a base model 2000 explorer sport 4x4 with SOHC a few weeks back. The thing is in OK shape and runs great.
Today I saw a 1999 explorer sport 4x4 but the one above the base model with fogs and silver trim etc. The thing is in awesome shape but the tranny is dead.
Anywho, I bought the 1999 today for 400 bux and I am wondering if there is anything special I should know about doing a tranny swap as I plan to put the 2000 tranny into the 1999 and keep the 1999 as a daily driver. I figured I can't go wrong because I can get more than 400 bux for parting out my 2000. It will be nice to build one Mint truck out of two.
Any advice is appreciated.
