Just out of curiousity, with the auto 4wd mod installed will I be able to do burnouts. That's the one thing I miss with my X. I've got a 96 Blazer but I hate that thing, the f*cking speakers work half the time and not to mention its just plain uncomfortable for me to drive.

last night when it rained i put my X into 4wd High and tried to powerbrake it to see if i could get the tires spinning and they wouldnt spin at all, and i cant spin them while in auto either because once they start to slip the front axle gets going

With the brown wire mod, 4.10s and 30"s, I can burnout if I brakestand to 2000 rpms on dry pavement. Doing the brown wire version prevents ANY power from getting to the front, so its like real 2wd. Plus, you can also have 2wd Low, which is just more torque on the rear wheels than you will ever need to wish for.

Has anyone noticed any slight improvement on MPG?

Back when i had my old 2000 explorer sport i had them back tires just smoking! heh i actually got a mpeg of it cause i had my buddy video tape it. but ya just a simple brake stand type of deal and those back 2 tires started to spin slowly, then really fast. It was pretty sweet!:D

You won't.....

anyone do a 4wd breakstand? if not, i win. i know, i know. it is impossible. but one time in a sandpit, i tried to see if my 4x4 was disengaged (and it wasnt) and i spun the front right and left rear tire without the vehicle moving with the breaks to the floor. im sure having a severly messed breaking system helped with that. but it sure suprised the hell out of me.

Maybe 0.2 MPG... Maybe... But its really nice having 2WD for donuts and the 2 wheel low when crawling down REALLY steep mountains! (I used it coming down the road going to the Flat Irons in Boulder over spring break, was great.. the jeep I was following was on their brakes the whole way down and I just casually coasted down the mountain)
