Auto 4x4 will not engage

I have a '94 and i had the same problem. i heard my transfer case clicking, but the 4x4 didn't engauge. It turned out that the original auto-hubs were shot. I ended up replacing them with manual WARN hubs. I hope you solve your problem.

I was thinking today, could you change the auto's out with some manuals from a wrecked Explorer? I know the autos were more popular, but there were a few with the manuals and I believe Warn made them.

If you convert over to manual what will you do with you auto-hub. If you are going to throw them away I would like to have them.
