Auto Dimming rear view mirror

My wife has a 93 Limited that has the auto darkening rear view mirror. I cannot find any schematics on it. I just purchased her a 98 explorer with a stock rear view mirror. She was inquiring about putting the auto darkening mirror on it. Was just curious if it was as simple as power/ground to hook up and make it work in the 98.

Yep, I grabbed one and hooked it to a key on switched power from the overhead console and ground. There is another wire to disable it if the vehicle goes into reverse, but I never fished for the right wire in the GEM. Works great.

I picked mine out of something down there at LKQ in Dorr. I didn't like the levers and stuff in the older Ex Electrochromatic mirrors, I liked the sleeker look of the newer ones. I think it was out of a Continental IIRC...

I'll be heading to that very LKQ Sunday to find a radio for the 98. So it should be rather simple to install, awesome lol.
