99 explorer sport had the auto headlights quit working.
its a canadian truck so the daytime running lights have also quit working about 6 months before this.
the delay switch is in the middle where its always been. headlights work when i use the dash switch. the puddle lights still work when i use the remote or keyless entry but the headlights still dont come on.
still have low an high beam with the dash switch on.
i know theres a few black boxes behind the battery is there 1 that is for the auto head lights?
any help to get them working again would be nice.

Mine isn't a Canuck model...so this may not be pertinent...but I just replaced my mirror assy (including sensor) to fix this problem. But there are pinpoint tests in the manual to help you properly diagnose the problem and possibly save you throwing money at it.

You probably have a number of problems IF your DRL's stopped working previously. Anyways, check your headlamp relay as this is required for autolamps to function. In terms of your DRL's, its most likely your DRL module is dead.

ya i kinda supect i was having 2 problems an not a big 1. i know the DRL are prone to fail, is that the 1 under the fender behind the battery? or where is it located now?
where can i find the relay for the auto lamps?

i just put a auto dimming mirror into my 98 sport this weekend (and did not enjoy hooking up the wire from the mirror to the relay, not fun). i do believe the relay is in a long black box under the dash near the gas peddle. i will have to look in the morning to see which relay it is however.
