auto hubs making noise out of 4X4

they are "ratchiting" as if i just got out of 4WD and didnt drive in reverse....... can some one help me with this... please..... also damn idler pully locked up but still will pull a 4000 pound camaro and trailer ........... these things have some great torquei need to go and take some pics of where i went out mudding/ off-roading... it was bad ass......had 1 tire bout 4 feet off the ground comming out of a gully

Yep, sounds like one/both your autohubs is shot. Switch to manuals, especially if you like offroading. You won't regret it.

i dont have the cash to switch right now.... is there a way to get around it for now?

You can try cleaning them, seeing if you find anything grossly out of the ordinary.

Manuals only cost ~250 for a pair plus the conversion kit.......

well apon cleaning them i found them to be WITH OUT grease lol.... guess the guy that owned it before me never greased them.... anyways i cleaned them out with brake cleaner and repacked them with gerase and the noise is gone.... plus it rides smoother....
