Does anyone have a source for stock auto locking hubs. Guy ran a stop sign, hit me in front wheel and busted the hub. Ford only sells the entire assembley for about $300! Thanks for any help.

Check out the for sale forum. There are owners selling these after the conversion to manual hubs.

Griz,

Why not just take this opportunity and switch to the Warn manual hubs. They work MUCH better than the auto hubs. Also, if you ever break a manual hub, Warn will replace it free, including shipping, since they have a lifetime warranty. I just had one replaced, they were very quick about it, no hassle at all.

You can get the manual hubs and conversion kit, shipping included, for $163 from a company in S. Carolina. Someone posted that a month or so ago so if you search manual hubs, you should be able to find all the info.

Wish I had seen that post,I just picked up my manual hubs today at $139 but the conversion kit is on back order. Thats the one with set screws. They said there were a couple left at their warehouse. I hope their right Dead Link RemovedIt was $39.95.

hey Griz..
i would take the insurance money you are getting and then spend two hundred of it on a set of manual hubs , because you will be buying them after a while anyway seems like we all have. just what id do anyways. then id buy more accesories with the rest of the insurance money.

Got the hubs for $50 bucks using this parts search site. Thanks for all the suggestions.

While we're on the topic of hubs, is it ok to take a hub that was on the drivers side, and put it on the passenger side? Are they symmetrical in design, or does it matter which way they rotate? The mostly-plastic cam assembly, from what I could tell, looked symmetrical.

I have a hub that I think is or is going bad, and I have a spare from the drivers side that I'd like to put on. If that don't fix it, I'll be upgrading to the manuals pretty soon.
