Autodim mirror... anyone installed?

Have anyone attempted installation of an autodim mirror in the first generation"X"? I'm about to install an overhead console and thought that I might be able to add the mirror as well..... thought I ask before toying with it myself.

it should be the same as the 2g explorers....for the overhead console there are just 8 wires...2 for the lights, 2 for the sensor, 2 for power, 1 for vehicle speed sensor, and 1 for ground...
For the autodim mirror....there are 5 wires i believe...2 for power, 1 for ground, 1 for back up lights, 1 for RAP (anti-theft) module or run 2 relays for it if you dont have a RAP module...there is already a 6 page thread about it....look for AUTODIMMING/AUTOLAMPMIRROR...I already posted on it...so it might be under this thread

SOG.... I got a wrong mirror! looks like there is a difference between the first and second gen. "X's"..... well, I'll put this one in my wife's 98 and be on a look-out for a first generation one... like it's gonna be so easy to come-up with... right?

Get one out an 89-97 thunderbird. it only has 3 wires, and the sensor for the dimmer is built into the mirror. i imagine that one would be the easiest one to install. just my 2 cents.

I just need to make sure the mounting gizmo on the windshield fits the bracket on the mirror. I should of checked before buying this mirror...
